William J. Bill Conapitski, Sr., age 79 a resident of Ridge View Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah Heights and a former resident of William Penn, West Mahanoy Township passed away early Monday morning at the center.
Born in Frackville on June 5, 1932 he was a son of the late Ignatius and Mary (Shemansky) Conapitski.
Bill worked for the former Charles Adukaitis Asphalt Company, Frackville. Earlier he worked for the Hamburg Battery Company.
He was a member of St. Georges Church, Shenandoah, a member and former Fire Chief of the William Penn Fire Company and a member and former Chief of the Lost Creek Community Ambulance Association.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his wife, the former Elizabeth A. Applegate in 2007, one daughter, Mary Alice Veach in 2009; two granddaughters, Colleen Bisco and Thomisina Bisco andseven brothers.
Surviving are three sons, William J. Conapitski, Jr. of Shenandoah, Edward A. Conapitski of Frackville and Shaun Conapitski of Virginia; two daughters, Elizabeth Betty Ann Kelly and her husband Pat of Texas and Debra Gordon and her husband Michael of Virginia;two sisters, Eleanore Seasock of Frackville andDorothy Bricker of Camp Hill; a sister-in-law, Anna Marie Palubinsky of Shenandoah; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services Friday morning at 10:00 am in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. There will be no services from the funeral home.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
