Walter F. "Wally" Polosky, 62 of Raven Run, Lost Creek passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021 surrounded by family after courageously living with Alzheimer's disease for the last seven years.
Born in Ashland on May 12, 1958, he was a son of the late Walter and Mary (Chismar) Polosky.
Walter was a 1976 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School where he studied auto mechanics at the Vo-Tech school.
On October 3, 1981, in the former Saint Mary Magdalene Church, Lost Creek he married the former Victoria A. "Vickie" Marconi.
Walter worked for over twenty years at the former Gold Star Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Shenandoah in the auto parts department and ended his career at A&A Auto Parts, Frackville.
He was a member of Divine Parish, Shenandoah.
Wally was an avid sports fan and loved watching his beloved Phillies, Eagles and Penn State. He enjoyed going for walks and doing yard work. He liked playing the lottery or getting a scratch-off ticket from time to time. He loved food and would never turn down a sweet treat, coffee or cold beer.
Walter was the type of man who would do anything for anybody. He was a devoted husband, proud father, and a genuinely kindhearted man to anyone who was lucky enough to have had a relationship with him.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Victoria A. "Vickie" Polosky are his daughter, Nicole Miller and her husband Brandon of Rebuck; his son, Gregory Polosky of Frederick, Maryland; his grandson, Bearhett Miller; his twin sister, Marie Wojcik and her husband Martin of Philadelphia; two sisters-in-law, Marianne McAndrew and her husband Thomas of Ashland and Michele Marconi Marnell of Ashland; sister, Judy Canavan and her husband Danny of Frackville; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his brother, Richard Polosky in Colorado Springs, Colorado and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Victor and Eleanor (Vivacqua) Marconi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning, April 15, 2021 at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A viewing will be held in Divine Mercy Church, Shenandoah on Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am.
