Veronica "Vera" (Debuski) Chisick, 91, formerly of Texas Avenue, Shenandoah Heights passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, Camp Hill. Born in Morea on December 15, 1930, she was a daughter of the late John and Julia (Koch) Debuski. She was a graduate of the former Mahanoy Township High School. Vera was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah and the former St. George's Church. She was also a member of the Greater Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Edward J. Chisick in 2000; five brothers, Michael, Andrew, John, Stephen and Peter Debuski; and two sisters, Mary Antalosky and Ann Richter. Surviving are her daughter, Linda Monaghan and her partner Candy Krammes of Mechanicsburg; three grandchildren, Kelly Monaghan and her partner Natalie of Elizabethtown, Lynette Monaghan of Sugar Land, Texas, and Larissa Monaghan of York; six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; her sister, Margaret Horbacz of Largo, Florida; nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A viewing will be held on Thursday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Divine Mercy Church.
