Sun Pok "Hannah" Lipiec, 56, of Shenandoah, passed away Wednesday at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
Born in Pusan, Korea, on May 15, 1962, she was a daughter of the late San R. Yang and Soo N. Ahn.
She was last employed at City Shirt Co., Frackville, and earlier at Lee's Oriental Gourmet Foods, Shenandoah.
Sun was proud of her Korean heritage and faith and was a member of the Glory of Faith International Church, Shenandoah. She enjoyed picnics with her family and she loved her pet Chihuahua, Mimi.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her brother, Sae Jin Yang; her father-in-law, Edmund M. "Munu" Lipiec Sr., and her mother-in-law, Edith June Walker Lipiec.
Surviving are her husband, Edmund M. "Butch" Lipiec, to whom she was married 28 years; two brothers, Sae In Yang and Sae Chul Yang, both of Korea; two sisters, Soon Oak Yang and Soon Young Yang, both of Korea; one brother-in-law, John Lipiec and his companion, Amy Sheeler, Shenandoah; one sister-in-law, Marylou Cecchini and her husband, Tony, Virginia Beach, Va.; nine nieces and nephews in Korea; four nieces and nephews locally.
Religious services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Pastor John Jang of the Glory of Faith International Church will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah. A viewing will be held from 8 until 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
