Obituary

Steven R. "Fuzzy" Mahmod, 48, of Chelton Street, Lower William Penn, Shenandoah, passed away Wednesday evening at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Shenandoah, May 11, 1967, he was a son of Ruth Shistel Mahmod, Ashland, formerly of William Penn, and the late Raymond K. "Ray" Mahmod.

Steve was a 1985 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School.

Earlier he worked as a parts professional for Advance Auto Parts, Shenandoah, and he was last employed at Lowe's Distribution Center.

He was of the Protestant faith.

Fuzzy was an avid drag racing fan. He enjoyed working on cars, talking on his CB radio, listening to music and riding his ATV.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Christopher A. and John A. Mahmod.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, the former Colleen Clark; a daughter, Melinda Mahmod, and a son, Matthew Mahmod, both of Girardville; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Pastor Peggy Reed of the William Penn United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Relatives and friends may call 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
