Stephen J. Blacky Sosna, Sr., age 62 of 206 Lavelle Road, Lavelle passed away Monday at his residence.

Born in Shenandoah on February 5, 1951 he was a son of the late John and Agnes (Obzut) Sosna.

He was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.

Steve worked for the Walmart Distribution Center, Highridge Industrial Park as yard jockey.

He was an avid camper and golfer and was member of Outdoor World.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were a son, Stephen J. Sosna, Jr.; a brother, Michael Sosna; and a nephew, Stanley J. Leonarczyk, III.

Surviving are two daughters, Paula Davis and her husband Mark of Ashland and Dawn Kowalick of Shenandoah; two granddaughters, Shawna and Dominique; four brothers, John Sosna of Florida; Paul Sosna and his wife Debbie of Brandonville; David Yogi Sosna, Sr. and Mark Sosna and his wife Annette all of Shenandoah; six sisters, Kathleen, wife of Lenny Beenick and Victoria Cookie wife of Dale Lindenmuth all of Ringtown; Bonita Tootsie , wife of Bill ODonnell, Marie wife of Bob Clark and Theresa Terry wife of Stanley Leonarczyk all of Shenandoah and Annette Netty Sosna of Brandonville; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Prayer and scripture services will be held Friday 10:00 AM at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian will officiate.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
