Obituary

Stefan A. Stef Zackaravage, 50, of 235 W. Mt. Vernon St., Shenandoah passed away Friday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson St., Pottsville after a lengthy illness.

Born in Hazleton, he is the son of Wanda (Beoris) Zackaravage of Shenandoah and the late Joseph Zackaravage.

He was a 1978 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School.

Stefan was self-employed, earlier he worked for RCA in Lancaster where he was an electronics technician.

He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, Shenandoah where he faithfully served as an altar boy for many years.

Stefan was an avid car enthusiast; he had great pride in his classic car, a 1976 Chevy Monte Carlo. He enjoyed watching NASCAR Racing and rooting for his favorite football team, the Washington Redskins and his favorite basketball team, the Los Angeles Lakers.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his loving wife, the former Patricia Holden to whom he was married 21 years on February 14; his cherished daughter who was his pride and joy, Lindsey Zackaravage, a student at Lock Haven University; his father-in-law and mother-in law, John and Ruth Holden of Shenandoah; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am in St. Stanislaus Church, Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. There will be no calling hours on Tuesday evening.

The family prefers donations to Lindsey Zackaravages Educational Trust Account, c/o Sovereign Bank, 2 N. Main Street, Shenandoah, PA 17976.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
