Stasia M. (Zaleskie) Chiscavage, 87, of Shenandoah, passed away peacefully Sunday evening at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah Heights.
Born in Shenandoah, May 2, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Mary (Preneta) Zaleskie.
Stasia was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah, and the former St. Casimir Church, Shenandoah. She was a former member of Bear's Head Sportsmans Association, Delano, and Glovers Hill Athletic Club Ladies Auxiliary, Shenandoah.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard A. "Tex" Chiscavage; two sons, Bernard J. Chiscavage and Albert P. Chiscavage; a daughter, Marie Van Horn; four brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are a son, Leonard B. Chiscavage, Shenandoah; two daughters, Carole Stanakis and her husband, Robert, Ringtown, and Sharon Steward and her husband, Tom, Shenandoah; a brother, John Zaleskie, Shenandoah; 10 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, will officiate.
Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
