Stanley R. Honrychs, age 78, a resident of Collingswood, NJ passed away Wednesday evening at his residence.
Born in Wilmington, DE on June 8, 1932 he was the son of the late Stanley and Genevieve (Mondzelewski) Honrychs.
Stan was a graduate of St. Josephs High School, Camden NJ.
Mr. Honrychs was a member of the New Jersey National Guard. He was a decorated Air Force Veteran having served his country during the Korean War. His decorations and citations include: the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was employed by RCA as an Electronic Lab Technician.
Stan was a member of the Polish American Citizens Club of New Jersey.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was a brother, Bernard.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 50 years, the former Eleanor Semansky; three sons, John and his wife Cheryl, Joseph, and Thomas and his wife Danielle; one daughter, Ann wife of Paul Sacca; two sisters, Christine wife of Robert Daily and Priscilla wife of James Priest; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 am in St. Casimir Church, 229 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to: St. Casimir Church Memorial Fund, c/o 108 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah, PA 17976.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
