Obituary

SrA Kohl John Reed, 22, of the United States Air Force tragically passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022 in a motorcycle accident in Dover, Delaware. Born on August 27, 2000, he was the son of Laura A. (Lebby) Reed and Kristopher A. Reed of Marysville, PA Kohl attended the former Trinity Academy, Shenandoah from preschool until 8th grade and graduated from Susquenita High School in 2019. After high school, Kohl enlisted in the United States Air Force. Following graduation from Basic Training and Technical Training, he was assigned to the 436th Aerial Port Squadron in Dover, DE. Kohl served as a Ramp Operations Specialist and recently achieved certification as a C-17 Aerial Port Expeditor (APEX) Load Director. It is with great pride that we can say that Kohl made a lasting impression on everyone he met with his charm which was only overshadowed by his heart. Kohl's desire to make the best of every situation led him to be the life of the party. The same as fast cars, loud bikes, and bonfires would light up his day, his perfect smile and contagious laugh would light up everyone else's. He refused to allow one hour to ruin the other twenty-three and he always had your six. His energy, mischievousness, and passion for life are what his family, friends, and brothers and sisters In-Arms will remember most. He was preceded in death by his Dziadzi Jack Lebby; great-grandparents, Charles and Kathleen Merchlinsky, and John and Regina Lebby. In addition to his parents, Kohl is survived by his sisters, Brye Elle Wojcik, Kylie Reed, and Kendall Reed of Marysville; grandparents, Virginia and Joseph McAndrew of Shenandoah and Lois and Richard Reed of Spring Grove. Kohl is also survived by his Uncle John Paul and Cioci Amanda Lebby; cousins, John Paul, Naomi, and Chase Lebby; step-father, Peter Wojcik; grandparents, John and Peterine Wojcik; biological father, Brad Wambach and step-mother, Rebecca; and Uncle Travis Reed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 11:30 am in St. Casimir's Church, 229 North Jardin Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C.
