Rosemary E. (Butts) Pollard, RN, 67, of Ringtown, passed away early Tuesday morning at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Shenandoah, Dec. 3, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Stella (Komosinski) Butts.
Rosemary was a 1967 graduate of the former Shenandoah Catholic High School and then earned her nursing degree from the former Ashland State Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a retired registered nurse, having worked at the former Ashland State General Hospital.
On May 22, 1971, in St. Casimir's Church, Shenandoah, she married Howard F. Pollard, who survives.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah, formerly St. Casimir Parish, and the VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary, Ashland.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her brother, Charles F. Butts.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 45 years, Howard F. Pollard, are a son, Howard C. Pollard and his wife, Donna, Swedesboro, N.J.; two cherished granddaughters, Lainey Rose and Livy Elizabeth Pollard; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Rosemary will be sadly missed by her loving family and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Casimir Church, the sacred worship site of Divine Mercy Parish, 229 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Casimir Church. Shenandoah.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
