Robert P. Stanakis, Sr. 71 of Ringtown passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023. Born in Shenandoah on August 16, 1951, he was a son of the late Peter and Florence (Gormas) Stanakis. Prior to his retirement, he was the co-owner and butcher at the former Capitol Food Store, Shenandoah. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his grandson, Darien Stanakis. Surviving are his wife of forty-nine years, the former Carole Chiscavage; three sons, Dale Stanakis and his wife Cathi, Robert P. Stanakis, Jr. and his wife Diedre and Michael Stanakis and his fiancé Samantha Dunphy; six grandchildren; two brothers, Matthew Stanakis and Peter Stanakis; two sisters, Carole Garber and Janet Stanakis; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah is in care of the arrangements.
