Ricky E. Dye, Jr., 41, of 21 Pattersonville Road, Ringtown, passed away Saturday, March 9 as a result of injuries suffered in an accident at his residence.

Born in Pottsville on July 20, 1971 he is the son of Ricky E. Dye, Sr. of Shenandoah and the late Janice (Catherman) Rydzy.

He was last employed for U.S. Express as a truck driver. Earlier he worked as a self-employed contractor.

Ricky was an assistant Boy Scout Master for the Ringtown Boy Scouts. He was active in his sons sporting activities and also enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with his family.

Surviving are his wife to whom he was married 20 years, the former Crystal A. Rydzy; three sons, Richard Dye and his wife Teela parents of grandson, Remington Dye all of Virginia Beach, VA, Bradley Dye of Ringtown and Dale Dye at home; his father-in-law, William Bill Rydzy with whom he resided in Ringtown; a sister, Carol Meyer of Pottsville; and his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Catherman of Pine Grove; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Religious services will be held Wednesday evening at 7:30 PM at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian will officiate. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
