Obituary

Regina Jean Onuschak, 86 of Main Blvd., Brandonville, East Union Twp. passed away Sunday at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community.

Born in Brandonville on April 3, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Max Moxie and Beatrice (Naryauckas) Onuschak.

Jean was a graduate of East Union Township High School.

She was a retired garment worker having worked in the Sheppton Dress Factory.

Jean was a member of St. Marys Church, Ringtown and the Sodality of the parish.

As a proud member and supporter of the Republican party, Jean served as president of the former Republian Womens Club, Shenandoah, Schuylkill County Republican Executive Board and as the East Union Township Committee Person. She was also a member of the Greater Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens, Sheppton-Oneida Senior Citizens and the ILGWU.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were two brothers, Franklin T. Frank Onuschak who died February 28, 2010 and Maurice Onuschak who died June 24, 2001.

Surviving relatives include Eileen Boltz of Sea Isle City, NJ and her children, godson Michael Boltz of Beesleys Point, NJ and goddaughter Kimberli Manning of Wildwood Crest, NJ; Atty Leonard Schumack of Shenandoah Heights; Ralph Schumack of Potomac, MD and several Onuschak cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:15 am from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 11:00 am in St. Marys Church, Ringtown. Rev. James M. Torpey will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery, Sheppton.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday morning from 8:30 am until time of services. There will be no calling hours Thursday evening.

The family prefers donations to St. Marys Church Memorial Fund, 82 N. Center St., Ringtown, PA 17967.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
