Obituary

Raymond Eugene Boxter, 74 of Shenandoah, formerly of Lost Creek #2, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at his residence. Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital, Shenandoah Heights on February 22, 1949, he was a son of the late George and Mildred "Millie" (Pusavage) Boxter. He was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah. Raymie was a retired construction worker. He was of the Catholic Faith and was a member of the former St. George Church, Shenandoah, and the Shenandoah Fish and Game Protective Association, Zion Grove. He was fond of his cats. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were three brothers, George, Joseph and John Boxter and one sister, Millicent "My Honey" Boxter. Surviving are two daughters, Jacqueline and Raquel of Frackville; two brothers, Edward A. Boxter of Frackville and Nicholas Boxter and his wife Mary of Bernardsville, NJ; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 10:00 am in St. Casimir Church, 229 North Jardin Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Saint Casimir Church.
