Pauline B. Grutza, 93 formerly of Shenandoah Heights passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community.
Born in Shenandoah Heights on June 29, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Fruddam) Grutza.
She was educated in the former West Mahanoy Township schools.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the local garment industry having worked last for the former Christina Dress Factory, Shenandoah Heights.
Pauline was a member of the ILGWU.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight sisters, Elsie Grutza, Helen Novak, Anna Newerella, Bertha Heffner, Lottie McGuire, Frances Grutza, Estelle F. Grutza and Mary Huss; two brothers, Joseph & Edward Grutza; and a nephew, John McGuire.
Surviving are her sister, Theresa McCord of Springfield, Massachusetts; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephew, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, cousins and many friends.
Pauline was a loving sister, aunt and dear friend to all.
Religious services will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 10:00 am at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in Odd Fellow's Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A visitation will be held on Monday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the funeral home.
