Obituary

Paul Andrew "Dago" Danouski Jr., 80, of Shenandoah, passed away peacefully Friday at his residence with his family by his side.

Born in Shenandoah, Aug. 30, 1936, he was a son of the late Paul Danouski Sr. and Isabel (Machinsky) Danouski.

Paul was a 1954 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.

He was a decoratedKorean War Navy veteran.

He was a heavy equipment operator and a truck driver for various companies.

On Nov. 3, 1962, in the former St. Stanislaus Church, Shenandoah, he married his wife of almost 55 years, the former Anna Mae Moses, who survives.

Paul was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah, formerly St. Stanislaus Church, Shenandoah, and the former American Legion Post, Shenandoah.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his son, Peter Danouski.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Ann Mae Danouski, are two sons, Paul Danouski, Shenandoah, and Mark Danouski, Shenandoah; a daughter, Lynnann Hughes and her husband, Walter, Shenandoah; four grandchildren, Jenna, Mark, Crystal and Jessica Danouski; four great-grandchildren, John Carter, Aubri, Raegan and Brynn; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Religious services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, will officiate.

Interment with military honors will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Relatives and friends may call from 8 until 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
