Patsy Buchanan (Zerby) Maloney

Patricia A. Patsy (Zerby) Buchanan Maloney, age 81 of William Penn passed away peacefully Sunday morning at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community with family by her side.
Born in William Penn on August 30, 1932 she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Kathryn (Barrett) Zerby.
Patsy was a graduate of the former West Mahanoy Township High School.
She retired from the former Acme Markets, Shenandoah as a cashier.
Patsy was a member of Annunciation BVM Church, Shenandoah. Prior to that she was a very active member of St. Mary Magdalene Church, Lost Creek where she volunteered much time at card parties, bazaars and bingo.
Her family and friends will surely remember the many home cooked meals and goodies she prepared, especially her flitch and rice pudding. She was an avid Notre Dame football and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her two husbands, Robert E. Ish Buchanan, Sr. in 1964 and Francis X. Frink Maloney in 1999; one son-in-law, Joseph A. Bushinski, Jr. in 2006 and one sister, Caroline Zerby.
Surviving are three sons, Robert E. Buchanan, Jr. and his wife Maggie of Palmer Township, Michael J. Buchanan and his wife Barbara of Wind Gap and Joseph M. Buchanan of William Penn; two daughters, Karen M. wife of Leo Kayes of Shenandoah and Barbara Jo Bushinski of Shenandoah; sixteen grandchildren, Leanne, Melissa and Leo Kayes, Emily Anne Kasmark, Jarrett and Caroline Buchanan, Kara Mulkusky, Sarah Maksimik, Jessica and Rachael Bushinski, Michael and Krista Buchanan, Brittany, Erin, Alyssa and Jacqueline Buchanan; two great-grandchildren, Alaina Corona and Claire Maksimik; one sister, Anna Marie wife of Charles Andershonis of Budd Lake, NJ; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 am from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am in Annunciation BVM Church, Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
Relatives and friends may call Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am until tme of service at the funeral home.
