Nellie R. (Zavaglia) Clark, 92, of Shenandoah, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community. Born in Shenandoah on September 3, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Dominick and Rose (Saturno) Zavaglia. Nellie was a 1949 graduate of the former J.W. Copper High School, Shenandoah. She worked at the former Alma Dress Factory, Shenandoah until her retirement in 1992. She was a union member of ILGWU. Nellie was a member of Divine Mercy Parish and the Glovers Hill Ladies Auxiliary both of Shenandoah. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Wilbur H. Clark Jr. on October 28, 2012; one sister, Mary Laureti; one brother, Nicholas Zavaglia; and her daughter-in-law, Betsy Clark. Surviving family members include her son, Gary Clark of Hazle Township; grandson, Jason Clark and his wife Nicole of Orwigsburg; granddaughter, Jessica Clark of Durham, NC; great-grandson, Tyler Clark; brother, Joseph Zavaglia and his wife Karen of New Jersey; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Private religious services with interment following in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights will be held at the convenience of the family.
