Obituary

Mary "Mamie" (Lis) Felegi, 92, of Shenandoah, passed away peacefully Sunday evening at Broad Mountain Health & Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.

Born in Shenandoah, December 2, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Jennie (Gunosky) Lis.

She was a retired garment worker, having worked in the local garment industry.

Mamie was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah, having attended St. Casimir's Church. She was also a member of the ILGWU.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Michael Felegi, in 1997; her son, Edward M. Felegi, in 2014; her son-in-law, Chris Alan Adams, in 2010, and two brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen Adams, Ringtown; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir's Church, the Sacred Worship Site of Divine Mercy Parish, 229 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 8 until 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
