Martha A. (Stepulitis) McGuire, 68, of Weston Place, Shenandoah, passed away peacefully on Monday at ManorCare Health Services, Pottsville.

Born in Shenandoah, April 4, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Anna (Burdlosky) Stepulitis.

She was a 1966 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah, and also graduated from McCann School of Business & Technology, Mahanoy City.

Prior to her retirement, she was the director of human resources at McCann School Business & Technology, Hazleton.

Martha was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah, formerly St. George Church.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Leo F. McGuire, November 30, 2016 and one son, Charles Christian, a Private in the US Army who passed away on November 11, 1987 in Germany.

Surviving are two sons, Jacob McSurdy and his wife, Jennifer, Harrisburg, and Martin "Marty" Christian and his wife, Amy, Weston Place; a grandson, Ace Christian; cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Divine Mercy Church, 232 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Divine Mercy Church.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
