Martha A. (Rettzo) Yotko, 81, of Girardville, who formerly resided in Shenandoah for most of her life, passed away Thursday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
Born in Shenandoah, Dec. 15, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Lawson) Rettzo.
Martha was of the Catholic faith.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Edward Yotko Sr. and two brothers, Carmen and Joseph Rettzo.
Surviving are three sons, Joseph Yotko and his wife, Lynn, Ringtown, Edward Yotko Jr., Shenandoah, and Carl G. Yotko, Shenandoah Heights; four daughters, Anna Mae Zimmer, Shenandoah, Janie Ortona, Kulpmont, Debbie Horvath and her companion, John Pryce Jr., Coal Township, and Victoria Shoup and her husband, Shawn, Girardville; a brother, James "Jimmy" Rettzo, Shenandoah; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be private and at the convenience of the family in Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian will officiate.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
