Obituary

Mark A. Rauco, age 56 of Shenandoah passed away Wednesday evening at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Pottsville on March 7, 1958 he is the son of Anthony Tony Rauco of Shenandoah and the late Irene B. (Wascavage) Rauco.

Mark was a 1976 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School and attended Penn State University, Schuylkill Campus.

On May 2, 1981 in the Primitive Methodist Church, Shenandoah he married the former Edna Barlow who survives.

Mark was last employed by the Borough of Shenandoah Streets Department.

He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Pottsville, and the Knights of Columbus, Francis Cardinal Brennan Council 618 of Shenandoah and was a life member of the Polish American Fire Company, Shenandoah.

Mark was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid sports fan having supported all of the Philadelphia teams, the Eagles, Phillies and Flyers.

Preceding him in death in addition to his mother was his father-in-law, George W. Barlow.

Surviving in addition to his father and wife of 32 years are two daughters, Kristen Jusinski and her husband, Joseph of Weston Place, Shenandoah and Courtney Rauco, a senior attending Lock Haven University and her companion Cody Lewars; two grandsons, Anthony and Joseph Jusinski; his mother-in-law, Shirley Barlow of Shenandoah Heights; two brothers-in-law, George Barlow of Shenandoah Heights and Mark Barlow and his wife Norma of Frackville; one sister-in-law, Debi Zagrosky and her husband Joseph of South Berwick, Maine; aunts, uncles, a niece, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, 11:00 am at the Trinity Episcopal Church, corner of Centre St. and Howard Ave., Pottsville. The Rev. James. A. Rinehart, Rector will officiate. Interment will follow in the Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville.

Relatives and friends may call Monday morning at the church from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
