Marie A. Wolsky, 99, formerly of Shenandoah and a resident of Brittany Pointe Estates in Lansdale, passed away on Saturday June 25, 2022 at her residence. Ms. Wolsky was born in Shenandoah on September 1, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Swirsky) Wolsky. She moved to the Washington D.C. in the early 1940s and began her government career working for the War Department, now the Department of Defense. After World War II, she transferred to the General Accounting Office, now the Government Accountability Office and subsequently retired from that agency. Ms. Wolsky was the recipient of the GAO's Meritorious Award. In 1981, she moved from the D.C. area to Arlington, Virginia. In retirement, Ms. Wolsky worked as a concierge and resident services specialist at the Crystal Plaza Apartments where she then resided. Ms. Wolsky was a member of the former Saint Stanislaus Church, Shenandoah. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her sister, Theresa D. Ryan and her two brothers, Alfred A. Wolsky and Michael Wolsky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
