Obituary

Margaret "Peggy" (Burns) Jablonski, 62, of 100 S. Main St., Shenandoah High Rise Apartments, passed away unexpectedly Monday at her residence.

Born in Shenandoah, Jan. 21, 1952 she was a daughter of the late John J. Sr. and Antoinette M. "Tushie" (Meinkiewicz) Burns.

Earlier in life, Peggy worked in the local garment industry. However, most of her life was devoted to raising her children. She later worked as a waitress at the former Sands Restaurant, Shenandoah, and was also employed at Burger King and Redner's Warehouse Markets, both of Shenandoah.

She was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, Shenandoah, and was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah.

Peggy was a devoted wife and mother. She was a selfless person who sacrificed much for her family. She was extremely proud of her family's accomplishments. She was a social person seen often in town who offered a warm greeting and a smile to all. She enjoyed bingo, reading and was an avid Elvis fan.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Frank A. Jablonski, on Oct. 16, 2007; two brothers, David Burns and John J. Burns Jr.; and a sister, Mary Ann Burns.

Surviving are her twin children, Angela Jablonski and her husband, David Bonner, Media, and Francis "Frankie" Jablonski and his wife, Pamela, Mesa, Ariz.; an additional son, David Jablonski and his wife, Adrienne Nash, Los Alamos, N.M.; two grandchildren, Mareck and Claudia Jablonski, both of Los Alamos; a brother, Michael A. Burns and his wife Patricia, Shenandoah; a sister, Rose M. Boxter, Pottsville; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Divine Mercy Parish Sacred Worship Site, Saint Casimir Church, 229 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Saint Casimir Church.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
