Louis D. Verci, age 71 of Frackville formerly of Manville, NJ passed away peacefully Tuesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill East Norwegian, Pottsville, PA.
Born in Raritan, NJ on February 2, 1945 he was the son of the late Daniel Verci and Lena (Barile) Verci Wurzbach.
He was 1963 graduate of Bridgewater High School, NJ.
Earlier he was employed at Johns Manville Corporation, Manville, NJ and later worked for Mack Motors, Bridgewater, NJ and retired as a maintenance supervisor for Forsgate Country Club, Jamesburg, NJ.
On June 3, 1967 in Sacred Heart Church, Manville, NJ he married his wife, the former Louise DeCrease who survives.
He was a former member of Sacred Heart Church, Manville NJ and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Francis Cardinal Brennan Council No. 618, Shenandoah, PA.
Surviving in addition to his wife of almost 50 years, Louise Verci are one niece, Melissa Hughes and her husband Gary of Howell, NJ and their children Zachary and Sarah; one nephew, Frank DeCrease and his wife Eileen of Toms River River, NJ and their daughter Isabella; his stepfather, Richard Wurzbach of New Jersey; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Religious services will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah, PA 17976. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian will officiate. Interment will be held on Saturday morning at 11:30 am in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Manville, NJ.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
