Lorraine L. (Fell) Anderson, 82, of Lost Creek, passed away Wednesday morning at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
Born in Shenandoah, Sept. 6, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Shamolsky Fell.
She was a 1952 graduate of the former West Mahanoy Township High School, Shenandoah Heights.
Earlier in life, she was employed at the former Cigar Factory, Mahanoy City.
Lorraine was a devout member of Divine Mercy Parish, formerly St. Casimir Church, Shenandoah. She was actively involved in many parish activities. She was a member of St. Cecelia's Choir and volunteered her time with many fundraising activities and decorating the church for various occasions. She was also a member of the Fr. Walter J. Ciszek Prayer League, where she volunteered her time baking and helping other fundraisers to advance the cause for Father Ciszek's canonization.
She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and was an avid collector of dolls.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Leonard Anderson, in 1995; a brother, Thomas Fell.
Surviving are a son, Dr. Leonard Anderson and his wife, Denise, Binghamton, N.Y.; two grandsons, Evan and Nicholas Anderson; a sister, Shirley Gursky, William Penn; a brother, Robert Fell and his wife, Eileen, Apple Valley, Calif.; nieces and nephews and their families.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday from Walkukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Casimir Church, Shenandoah, the sacred worship site of Divine Mercy Parish. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
