Lois A. (Anstock) Reichwein, 91 of Shenandoah passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community.
Born in Shenandoah on January 11, 1930 she was a daughter of the late G. Horace and Beatrice (Houser) Anstock.
She was a 1947 graduate of the former Mahanoy Township High School. She attended Bloomsburg College and graduated from McCann School of Business, Mahanoy City.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a shipping supervisor for thirty-two years at the former Purolator Products, Pattersonville, Ringtown.
Lois was a member of the former First United Methodist Church, Shenandoah where she was very active. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, the choir and volunteered much of her time for the annual Easter egg sales and the sauerkraut suppers. She was currently a member of the First United Methodist Church, Frackville. She was also a member and past matron of the Ashland Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 154, Ashland, the Greater Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens and the Frackville Senior Citizens.
She was eager to volunteer for the church, community and Eastern Star activities. Lois enjoyed the many trips she took with the senior citizens to the casinos and shows they sponsored.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband Alvin J. Reichwein in 1981; two brothers, William and Robert Anstock; and two stepdaughters, Alma Reber and Krista Reichwein.
Surviving are her stepson, A. Joseph Reichwein and his wife Clairann of Frackville; one step granddaughter, Kelly Reichwein Davies of Shenandoah; one step grandson, Daniel Reber of Georgia; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Anstock of Ringtown; a cousin, Margaret "Peggie" Twardzik of Schnecksville; and many friends.
Religious services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:30 am at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Pastor David J. Davis of the First United Methodist Church, Frackville will officiate. A viewing will be held on Saturday morning from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home with Order of the Eastern Star services being held at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
