Obituary

Linda M. (Mahmod) Prymak, 79 of Shenandoah passed away on Saturday evening, January 22, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill East, Pottsville. Born in Shenandoah on December 17, 1942 she was a daughter of the late Alex and Violet (Fohner) Mahmod. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Ateeco Inc., Mrs. T's Pierogies, Shenandoah. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah, St. Casimir's Church. Linda enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and especially liked cooking for the family on the outdoor grill in Brandonville. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her daughter, Cecelia A. "Celie" Jevelle on March 8, 2010; her son Francis M. "Harr" Prymak on April 8, 2012; three brothers, Raymond, Alex and Howard "Butch" Mahmod; and one sister, Violet Diehl. Surviving are her husband of sixty-one years, Francis L. "Frank" Prymak; two grandsons, Adam Jevelle of Shenandoah and Michael Jevelle of Brandonville; four great-grandchildren, Julia Rose Layton, Keara Klingerman, and Shelby and Mikey Jevelle; her son-in-law, Michael Jevelle of Brandonville; two brothers, Joseph Mahmod and his wife Eleanor of Shenandoah and John Mahmod and his wife Carol of Shenandoah; four sisters, Ruth Ann Woods and Theresa Fontenot both of Beaumont, Texas, Alberta Michalik and her husband Richard of Shenandoah and Debra Kessler and her husband Thomas of Mahanoy City; two sisters-in-law, Sister LeRoy, OSF of the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters in Reading and Ester O'Boyle in New Jersey; nieces, nephews, cousins and their families and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A viewing will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church.
