Leo M. "EZ" Garvey, 67 of Shenandoah passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown surrounded by his family. Born in Shenandoah on September 4, 1954, he was a son of the late John and Eleanor (Collins) Garvey. He was educated in West Mahanoy Township and Shenandoah schools. Leo was employed for over 30 years at the former Shenandoah Rag Company. He was of the catholic faith. EZ enjoyed taking walks and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Garvey in 1991. Surviving are two brothers, John P. Garvey of Shenandoah and Michael Garvey of Shenandoah; four sisters, Patricia Mackavage of Shenandoah Heights, Kathryn Tedesco and her husband James of Shenandoah, Ellen Gilroy and her husband Michael of Shenandoah and Janet Shearn of Alburtis; an aunt, Toni Collins of Middlesex, NJ; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah is in care of the arrangements.
