Krystal Marie Lombardo, age 30 of Ohio Ave., Shenandoah Heights passed away Wednesday at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Desiree and William Dunleavy of Pennsylvania Ave., Shenandoah Heights after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Born in Philadelphia on December 2, 1982 she was a daughter of Joseph Lombardo of Lost Creek and Jody (Onisick) Paulukonis and her husband Robert of William Penn.
She was a 2000 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School. She received her training for Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) at Penn State University, Hazleton campus.
As an LPN she last worked at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg. Earlier she worked for Broad Mountain Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Frackville and Ridgeview Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah Heights.
Krystal was of the Catholic faith.
She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Notre Dame fan.
Surviving in addition her parents and sister are two additional sisters, Sarah Frey and her husband Tony of Jacksonville, NC and Gina Lombardo; her companion, Jamie Cugusi with who she resided; maternal grandparents, John Onisick of Shenandoah and Joyce Onisick of Shenandoah; extended family, Joseph and Joanne Cugusi and Helene Gaborek all of Frackville; uncles, aunts, one nephew, one niece, cousins, many friends and her loyal cat, Phobee .
Prayer and scripture services will be held Monday, 1:30 PM at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home and Monday from 11:30 AM until the time of service.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
