Kathleen A. (Evans) Riedel, age 62 of 308 South Main Street, Shenandoah passed away Thursday morning at Geisinger Medical center, Danville.

Born in Pottsville on June 30, 1951 she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Eva (Daldo) Evans.

Kathleen was a graduate of Pottsville High School.

She was of the Methodist Faith.

Kathleen was a loving mom and nana. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and knitting. She took great pleasure in the outdoors especially when camping with family and friends. Kathleen also cared deeply for animals.

Surviving are five sons, Robert Riedel and his wife Andrea of Oklahoma, Michael Riedel and his wife Kimberly of North Carolina, Gary Riedel and his wife Melissa of Tamaqua, David Riedel and his wife Jodi of Girardville and Daniel Hartnett and his fiance Leandra Edmondson of Gordon; two daughters, Deanna Hartnett and Megan Hartnett both of whom she resided with in Shenandoah; nine grandchildren, Daniel, Jacob, Skylar, Evan, Chase, Sophie, Zaiden, Aubrey and David; two sisters, Betty Jean Evans of Seltzer City and Mary Austerberry and her husband John, Wellington, CO; a niece, a nephew and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services Tuesday, 11:30 AM at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin Street, Shenandoah. Rev. Mindy Heppe will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:30 AM until time of services.
