Julia (Skirchak) Rusesky, age 86 of Harrisburg formerly of Florida Ave., Shenandoah Heights passed away Wednesday at the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg.

Born in Brandonville on May 24, 1927 she was a daughter of the late Wassil and Pearl (Homko) Skirchak.

She was a retired garment worker having worked in the local garment industry.

Julia was a member of St. Georges Church, Shenandoah and the ILGWU.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Albert L. Rusesky on November 30, 2007; one son, Alan L. Rusesky and seven sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are a daughter, Nancy wife of Ted Mallick and one son, Dale Rusesky all of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Michael Stephanie, Faith and Zack; nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 1:00 PM in Annunciation BVM Church, Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM at Annunciation BVM Church, Shenandoah. There will be no viewing or services from the funeral home.
