Obituary

Josephine T. Crishock, 82, from Mahanoy City, passed away Thursday morning, January 30th, 2025 at the Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest hospital in Allentown.

Josephine was born in Shenandoah on April 2nd, 1942, a daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Reese) Paulaconis.

Josephine graduated in 1963 from Lpn school. She loved to travel the world as a devoted military wife and has lived in multiple countries. Josephine loved talking and sharing her life experiences from traveling, to raising a family, camping with the love of her life 'Butchy', to seeing her favorite Rockstar in person, Elvis Presley.

Josephine lived each moment to the fullest. She was loyal and brutally honest and everybody loved her for that.  Josephine will be remembered for always being a loving mother, kindest grandmother, a great friend and the best sister.

You laid there in that hospital bed; you tried so hard to hold on. God was calling you home. He needed another angel to help pour out the rain. Tears have fallen, hearts were shattered, but it's time for you to fly home. Your loves ones came to say their last goodbyes, to tell you they loved you, and that you will be forever missed. As your heart beat stopped, and your eyes slowly closed, God took another angel home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Glenn Knott. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah, wife of Keith Knott of Lost Creek. Grandsons Gary Knott and his wife Joie; Gavin Knott; and a granddaughter Jessica Knott all of Lost Creek, and daughter in law Ashley Knott also survive along with two great grandsons, Logan Knott and Ryan Hasker.

A brother James Paulaconis and wife Pam of Frackville in addition to her loving companion Walter "Butch" Mickalowski of Pottsville, also survive, along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Religious service will be held on Wednesday evening, February 5th at 6 pm at the Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah. A viewing will be held from 4-6 PM Prior to the service.  Josephine will be laid to rest at the Annunciation BVM Cemetery in Shenandoah at a later date.
