Obituary

Joseph F. Volosky, 70, a resident of Walker Township, Tamaqua, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Joe was born in Shenandoah, the son of the late Frank and Isabel (Yodis) Volosky.  After high school, he attended college and then pursed a career as a carpenter working in the construction industry throughout his entire life and was proud of the fact that he even built the home he lived in. He was a member of St. John XXIII Catholic Church of Tamaqua, and a former member of St. Jerome's Church.  He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan, and enjoyed hunting in his younger years. Joe is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patrice Ann (Skaudis) Volosky, their children Rebecca Kesslick of Glenside, PA and Joseph Jr. (Louis Tenario) of Willow Grove, PA, and granddaughter Brianna Kesslick. His siblings, Elizabeth Schlack (Robert) of Shenandoah; Margaret Gwiazdowski (Joe) of York; Mary Yurkiewicz (Jeff) of Ringtown and Frances Price (Todd) of York also survive along with nieces and nephews. Joe will be laid to rest on the grounds of Skyview Memorial Park in Hometown on Friday, March 21st, 2025 at 11:30 AM.  Anyone wishing to attend the services are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to the service. The Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah, is assisting Joseph's family during their time of need.  You may leave an online condolence at www.woffuneralhome.com
