Joseph James Ricigliano of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Age 87, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2021. He was born October 9, 1933 in Landingville, Pennsylvania and grew up in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. He was a son of the late Frank and Mary Ricigliano. For 48 years he was the beloved husband of the late Marianna Ricigliano (nee Walukiewicz).
Joseph was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, and was always excited to discuss his beloved teams. Along with sports, Joseph was passionate about fishing with his children and grandchildren.
Joseph served his country with distinction in the US Army and was a devoted employee in the Radiology Department of Jeanes Hospital for many years before retiring.
Joseph is survived by his three children, Judith Wiater (Dennis Wiater); Robert Ricigliano (Sharon Fiore); and Joseph Ricigliano.
In addition to his children, Joseph is also survived by his four grandchildren. Ashley Wiater, Dennis Wiater, Eric Wiater, and Elyse Ricigliano.
Joseph was pre-deceased by his sisters Tillie Barham and Jeanette Zaber, and his brothers Rick Ricigliano, Patrick Ricigliano and Fred Ricigliano.
Graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
