John M. Zaleski, 84 of Shenandoah passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown. Born in Shenandoah on February 8, 1938, he was the son of the late Bernard J. and Mary (Preneta) Zaleski. He was an Army Veteran having served his country during the Korean War. John was a retired bus driver for the Schuylkill Transportation System (S.T.S.). Surviving are two sons, John J. Zaleski and his wife Joyce of Ringtown and Joseph Zaleski of Shenandoah; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, his niece and caregiver, Sharon Steward and her husband Thomas of Shenandoah; additional nieces, nephews and cousins. A religious service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 10:00 am at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian will officiate. A visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
