John "Jack" Pribish, Jr., 89 of Shenandoah passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, July 26, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side.
Born in Shenandoah on September 9, 1931, he was a son of the late John and Bertha Muscavage Pribish, Sr.
Jack was a retired truck driver and mechanic.
He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah, and the former St. George Church. He was also a member of Teamsters Local #773, the East End Field & Stream Club and the former Moose Lodge both of Shenandoah.
Mr. Pribish was a decorated veteran serving his country with distinction in the US Army during the Korean War.
John cherished the time that he spent with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Aldona M. Besky on June 4, 2017 and his brother, Joseph "Josie" Pribish.
Surviving are his son, John T. Pribish of Shenandoah; two daughters, Linda Kerlavage and Marie Pribish both of Shenandoah; three grandchildren, Keith Kerlavage and Kyle Kerlavage both of Shenandoah and Abigale Pribish of Dubois; three great-grandchildren, Owen, Oliver and Lyla Kerlavage; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 10:00 am in St Casimir Church, 229 North Jardin Street, Shenandoah, the sacred worship site of Divine Mercy Parish with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am in St. Casimir Church.
