JoAnn Forkin, 77, a resident of the Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehab and Center in Shenandoah, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28th, 2024.

Born in Bronx, NY on May 7, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Mary Nicosia.

JoAnn was a lifelong homemaker who loved to help others, who found a calling working as an advocate for local nursing home patients.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Forkin and by a sister, Jean Nicosia.

JoAnn is survived by two daughters, Michelle Abraham and Marianne Forkin, along with two fur grand babies, and her friend and caregiver, Amanda Green.
