Obituary

Jerome Paulukonis, Sr., 86 of 200 E. Coal St., Shenandoah passed away Wednesday morning at Shenandoah Senior Living Community.

Born in Shenandoah on September 17, 1925, he was a son of the late George and Rose (Suscavage) Paulukonis.

He was of the Catholic Faith.

Jerome was a decorated World War II Army Veteran having served in the European Theater of Operations.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were four brothers, two sisters and three stepsisters.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, the former Florence L. Isgate; two sons, Jerome Paulukonis, Jr. and his wife Betty of Mahanoy City and Robert Paulukonis and his wife Jodi of William Penn; two daughters, Lorraine Quintinsky and her husband David of Barnesville and Cathy Veach and her companion Bob Veach of Shenandoah; two brothers, Eugene Paulukonis of Girardville and John Paulukonis of North Wales; twelve grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Prayer Services will be held 10:30 am Saturday morning at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at the funeral home.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
