Jennie I. (Possessky) Joyce, age 93 of 6 Tar Road, Lost Creek passed away Sunday evening at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street, Pottsville.

Born in Lost Creek #2 on June 25, 1918 she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Gurevicius) Possessky.

She was educated in the West Mahanoy Township Schools.

Jennie was a retired garment worker having worked in the local garment industry.

She was a member of St. Georges Church, Shenandoah and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of St. Mary Magdalene Church, Lost Creek.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Thomas Joyce in 1963; two sisters, Anastasia Swater and Olga Magill; three brothers, John and Carl Possessky and Ernest Drogalis.

Surviving are two daughters Ann I. Joyce and Jean Joyce both at home and a brother, Albert Drogalis, a guest at Ridgeview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah Heights; a grandson, Thomas Zarcufsky and his wife Melissa of William Penn; four great-grandchildren, Thomas, Garrison, James and Jennie Zarcufsky; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 AM from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Casimirs Church, Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
