It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Jeffrey Alan Najunas Jr. of Mahanoy City formerly of Shenandoah who tragically passed away from a fentanyl overdose on Saturday, February 24, 2024. At the age of 29, he departed this world leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Jeffrey was born on April 2, 1994 to Jeffrey Najunas Sr. of Mahanoy City who survives and the late Debra Kay (Weikel) Najunas who preceded him in death on December 9, 2015. He was welcomed into the embrace of his beloved mother, along with his maternal and paternal grandparents. In addition to his father, leaves behind four sisters, Linda and Crystal Kaplafka both of Florida, Ashley Capia of Pottsville and Mia Najunas of Shenandoah; his fiancée, Savanah Dolbin of Mahanoy City as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jeffrey was also expecting a baby boy to be born on July 12, 2024. Throughout his time on this planet, Jeffrey touched the lives of many with his infectious smile, kind heart and unwavering spirit. He faced struggles with addiction, but those who knew him remember him for his resilience and the love he shared. Prayer and scripture services to honor Jeffrey's life will be held on Sunday evening, March 3, 2024 at 7:00 pm at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian will officiate. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
