Jean H. Popalis, formerly of Shenandoah and Cressona, entered into eternal rest Sunday.

Jean was a registered nurse, having worked at Pottsville Hospital and the former Locust Mountain State General Hospital, Shenandoah.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce A. Popalis; sons, Andrew J., Bruce A. and Matthew J. Popalis; a sister, Judy; two brothers, John and Kim Challenger; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers and Mass cards, contributions in Jean's memory made to Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233, 51 SPCA Road, Pottsville, PA 17901, or American Lung Association , 3001 Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011, would be appreciated.
