With profound sadness we announce the passing of Jean, our loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend. Jean C. Maksimik, age 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Geisinger St. Luke's, Orwigsburg. She was born on January 23, 1943 in Shenandoah to Charles and Helen Litwaitis. Jean is survived by her husband of 59 years, Daniel Maksimik; daughter, Sharon Gladski and her husband Tony, Shenandoah; son, Daniel Maksimik Jr. and his wife Crystal, Orwigsburg; grandsons Anthony Gladski, Los Angeles, CA; Ryan Gladski, Shenandoah; and Cole Maksimik, Orwigsburg. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah is in care of the arrangements.
