Jean A. (Serakas) Bloschock, 87 of Pattersonville, Ringtown passed away on Sunday evening, July 11, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in Shenandoah on July 18, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Koslosky) Serakas. Jean was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah. She then graduated from the former Ashland State Hospital School of Nursing in 1954. After passing the state nursing boards, she became licensed as a registered nurse (RN). Earlier in life, she was employed at the former Locust Mountain State Hospital, Shenandoah Heights until she married and began raising her family. Truly and throughout her life, Jean always lovingly placed her family first. She especially held her husband, children and grandchildren close to her heart and always in her thoughts. She cherished the time that she spent with them; they delighted all her days. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her husband, Peter Bloschock on July 3, 2010. Surviving are her two sons, Mark Bloschock and his fiancé Dawn of Berwick and David Bloschock of Morgantown; her daughter, Lisa Bloschock White of Ringtown; two grandchildren, Sara Williams and her husband Glenn of Gambrills, Maryland and Eric Bloschock and his companion Hannah of Troy, Ohio; one brother, John Serakas and his wife Margie of Schuylkill Haven; three sisters, Antoinette Wozicki of Tennessee, Susan Swantek of Ringtown and Mary Ann Murphy and her husband Edward of Ringtown; nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of her family. Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
