Jason G. Jay Mitchell, age 33 of 233 Indiana Ave., Shenandoah Heights passed away Thursday at St. Catherine Medical Center, Fountain Springs, Butler Township.

Born in Shenandoah on September 13, 1977 he is the son of Joseph R. and Barbara (Minarchick) Mitchell of Lower William Penn, Shenandoah.

He is a member of St. Michaels Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Shenandoah.

Jay was a 1995 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife the former Traci Stravinsky to whom he was married four years; two brothers, Joseph Mitchell, Jr. of Shenandoah and Michael Mitchell of Lower William Penn, Shenandoah; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Dianne Stravinsky of Zion Grove; a sister-in-law, Tonia wife of Shaun Jordan of Frackville; aunts, uncles, nephews, a niece, cousins and many friends.

Funeral and Parastas Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Msgr. Myron Grabowsky, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. There will be no calling hours on Sunday evening.
