Obituary

James "Jimmy" Rettzo, 80, of North Emerick Street, Shenandoah, passed away Saturday at Broad Mountain Health & Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.

Born in Shenandoah, April 20, 1935, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna Lawson Rettzo.

Jim was a self-employed painter known locally as "Jimmy the Painter."

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were a son, James Rettzo; a sister, Martha Yotko; two brothers, Carmen and Joseph Rettzo.

Surviving are his wife, the former Anna May Marcinko; five sons, James M., Anthony, Vernon, Arnold and Harold Rettzo; two daughters, Jennifer Koncsler and her husband, Keith, and Roxanne Deeters; a stepdaughter, Janet Macker; six grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Religious services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian will officiate. Interment will follow in Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
