James F. "Jim" Kelly, 88 of Shenandoah passed away on Tuesday evening, March 15, 2022 at the home of his daughter and caregiver, Kathie Rooney and her husband Brian. Born in Shenandoah on February 6, 1934, he was the son of the late James and Josephine Kelly. He last worked and retired from Hexcel Corporation, St. Clair. Jim was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the many trips with his family and friends to Lake Oneida, New York. Above all else, he treasured the time spent with his family. He was a life member of the Park Crest Fish & Game and the Shenandoah 500 Club. Jim was a member of the Shenandoah Heights Fire Company. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his wife, the former Lillian Mowery in 2016, his son, James E. Kelly in 1998; and one sister, Elizabeth Horas. Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen Rooney and her husband Brian of Shenandoah with who he resided and Donna Redmond of Shenandoah; one son, Robert Kelly of Shenandoah; grandchildren, Stephen Chatcavage and his wife Janelle, Brian Rooney and his companion Sarah Dalley, Christopher Rooney, Mitcheal Redmond, Jr., Joshua Redmond, James Kelly, and Morgan Kelly; great grandchildren, Lucas and Jameson Chatcavage; one brother, William Kelly of Philadelphia; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah is in care of the arrangements.
