Obituary

Helen M. (Zeminski) Chernetsky, age 97 of 200 E. Coal St., Shenandoah Village Apartments passed away early Thursday morning at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.

Born in Shenandoah on August 27, 1914 she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Greshock) Zeminski.

Earlier she worked for Ateeco Inc., Mrs. Ts Pierogies and she retired from the former Harris Bakery, both of Shenandoah.

Helen was a devout member of St. Casimirs Church, Shenandoah and its Rosary and Sacred Heart Societies. She was also a member of the Greater Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her first husband, Anthony Muclada in 1955 and her second husband Joseph Chernetsky in 1966; a son, Anthony Red Muclada; three brothers, Michael, Joseph and Leonard Zeminski and two sisters, Eleanor Tubbs and Rose Milewski.

Surviving are her daughter Mary Ann wife of Charles Hauser of Frackville; a daughter-in-law, Pat Muclada of Frackville; four grandchildren, Cheryl Bainbridge and her husband John of Orwigsburg, Charles Hauser and his wife Karen of Williamsport; Gail McCole and her husband Frank of Frackville and Gary Muclada and his wife Linda of Frackville; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Theresa Tunilla of Shenandoah and Florence McCloskey of Baltimore, MD; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9:30 AM from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 AM in St. Casimirs Church, Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday morning from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM. There will be no calling hours Sunday evening.

The family prefers donations to St. Casimirs Church Memorial Fund, 108 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah, PA 17976.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah is in charge arrangements.
