Helen M. (Mentz) Faleski, age 93 formerly of West Oak Street, Shenandoah and The Birches at Shenandoah Manor passed away early Monday morning at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community.
Born in Shenandoah on September 20, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Chobey) Mentz.
Helen was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.
She was a retired garment worker having in the local garment industry.
Helen was a member of St. Casimirs Church, the Greater Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens, the Polish Ladies Social Club, the Polka Belles and past president of the ILGWU Retirees Club all of Shenandoah.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Henry Faleski in September 2001; a brother, Albert Mentz; and two sisters, Isabel Bella Rutkowski and Josephine McGrath.
Surviving are her son, Hank Faleski and his wife Julie of Turkey Run, Shenandoah; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.
A Mass of Christian will be celebrated Friday morning at 11:00 AM in St. Casimirs Church. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Casimirs Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
Relatives and friends may call at St. Casimirs Church Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of mass. There will be no services held from the funeral home.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
